New Fourth-Gen Mini Cooper Unveiled with Petrol Engines

Mini has revealed the fourth-generation Cooper ICE range with petrol powertrains. Earlier, the German-owned British automobile brand Mini revealed the Cooper only in an electric version, but now the company has unveiled the hatchback in two ICE gasoline variants: the Cooper S and Cooper C. The automaker has introduced Cooper models to the global market. The new-gen models will have a 3-door design. Mini is expected to launch the fourth-gen Cooper range later this year.

Along with these petrol versions, the company has also introduced a John Cooper Works (JCW) variant of the car. The new Mini Cooper is available in four different variant levels: JCW, Classic, Essential, and Favoured. Mini is offering four roof color options on the new car.

The Favoured version comes with four roof paints, a tri-color roof finish, 16 to 18-inch wheels, and a Multitone Roof option. Inside the cabin, the new model retains the 9.4-inch OLED infotainment panel equipped in the Mini electric models. The fourth-generation Cooper comes equipped with physical controls such as a volume knob, gear selector, parking brake, and start/stop button.

The new Mini Cooper range is loaded with advanced safety features like LED headlights, LED DRLs, a panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, matrix rear lights, ambient lighting, a circular OLED Mini Interaction Unit, a safe exit function, a Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant, ADAS, and smart key functions.

Powering the new Mini Cooper C is a turbocharged 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine that churns out 154 hp/231 Nm. In 7.7 seconds, the car can reach up to 100 km/h. The more powerful Cooper S, on the other hand, features a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that churns out 201 hp/300 Nm. The automaker is not offering diesel powertrain choices for this new Mini.
